Chevron Curtains

I finally finished my Chevron Gray and White curtains!!! I was so intimidated for the longest time, so I was afraid to start them (sort of like the 2 chairs I have in my garage that needs to be re-upholstered.)

Chevron CurtainsThis is my lovely Target lamp and the shade I covered with left over material from my pouf! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the lamp and base combo! I love that mustard yellow color!!!! The curtains were not hard to sew, but they intimidated me, and once I got past that, they were easy!!!! (It's just sewing 4 straight lines with the top and bottom a bit wider than the sides) I also took great effort to make sure that if they were pulled shut the pattern would match up between the two panels.

Chevron CurtainsI spray painted some black grommets I purchased on sale white since I thought the black would stick out too much. They were very easy to paint and look great!!
Chevron CurtainsI love how light and flowy they are compared to the brown curtains that were there before. I am glad I finally got over the intimidation of finishing these and actually finished them!! Now to actually start those 2 chairs that are in my garage. When I actually find the time I know I can do it after my last few projects!

  6. Those curtains turned out great! I love the chevron, but I'm so behind in the trends... by the time I do something in chevron, everyone will be onto something else. :)

  12. Hi!
I'm looking at doing these exact same curtains and have been searching and searcing for this fabric. I too also had checked out Carasel Designs before I saw your blog. I noticed the chevron fabric on there is a Twill material..is that what you used? Also your curtains look fairly long, did you do floor length? It looks like the length of the fabric is only 56".

Thanks for your help!! I am determined to get this pattern for my twin girls nursery room!

    1. Hi Alison, Thanks for the comment!! Yes I am pretty sure that is the same fabric I used. It is a twill material, its not super thick but its a good weight for a curtain fabric. If you are doing it for a nursery you may want to do a black out behind (but you might want to do that with any fabric!! Just going on my experience of my son NEVER sleeping!!) They are floor length. They actually pool on the floor a little bit... I was really happy ordering from Carousel Designs. It was my first time ordering fabric online so I was a bit nervous about that but was REALLY happy with how it came and how fast it shipped. The fabric was perfectly cut (nothing near how you get it from Joanns!!) I was really happy with them and these would be super cute curtains for a nursery!!! Good luck and I say go for it!!
