My Favorite Tote Bag Pattern

This Caravan Tote & Pouch Pattern from Noodlehead is my favorite tote bag pattern! These two totes I made probably two years ago, but if I need to make a cute tote bag for a gift, this is my go-to pattern!

When I made this, I only had one zipper, so only one tote got the front zippered pocket!

One of my favorite features of this tote, is the front snapped pocket. This pattern also includes one of my favorite pouch patterns! The pouch also has this front snapped pocket!

My first tote I made using this patter was probably 5 years ago and it quickly became my sewing tote! Don't you love a good tote bag!!!!

Cheap toy storage

Like so many people with children, our house is overrun with toys - and we only have one little man... Last week while at Target I ran across these great canvas totes on wheels and knew these would be a great addition to our playroom. They are great because they are large and hold a decent amount of toys and I like that they are on wheels! I am sure Little Man will love that too, and will push them around... Target has two sizes of these canvases. The smaller was $15 and the larger were only $5 more, so I went for the larger size - more toy storage!!

I like any DIYer had to personalize these nice canvas totes! I used my Silhouette to make a stencil and some fabric paint and a short dry time we have a happy momma with a slightly cleaner playroom -- for now....

Toy Storage with DIY Chalkboard Tags

In order to try and keep my son's playroom as organized as possible, I bought several canvas totes from Target that were pretty boring. So I decided to make little chalkboard (my latest obsession!!!!) labels for them. Super easy and now we have an organized (for now) toy room!

At Micheal's I bought little wooden boards meant for flags for 29 cents a piece!

I gave them 2 coats of Rustoleam Moonstruck Chalkboard paint!

Ready to attach my chalkboard tags to the canvas. My first time using Liquid Nails!!

A nice drizzle of Liquid Nails.

Just placed them on and let them dry!

The finished product.

So organized! All of my canvas totes in our IKEA LACK shelf.
